Planning a wedding in just seven weeks came with its own challenges, made even more complex by the fact some of our closest loved ones were on end of life care. Tilly handled every part of the day with such sensitivity, warmth and grace. She listened deeply to what we wanted, respected every nuance of the day, and somehow managed to be both quietly unobtrusive and joyfully present all at once. ‘Having Tilly photograph both of our wedding celebrations was one of the greatest gifts we could have wished for. On the day, she ran with the chaos and any last minute decisions and helped so much. She chose great spots for our photos and considered best timings which still worked with the day (beautiful tree backgrounds and sunset pics!). She also was never in anyone’s face and would stand back and observe to get the best shots.

‘I feel so lucky to have collaborated with Tilly - it turned out to be the best photoshoot I've had in my life. I was looking for a photographer to document a family event and high on the top of my list was the requirement to have a ‘reportage style’ session. I very much dislike posed arrangements and pulled face expressions (plenty of those in my wedding photos!) and just wanted an unobtrusive and truthful account of my little one's special day. Well, after asking around for recommendations from friends and acquaintances I found Tilly, who was available on the day and ready to accommodate our squeezed schedules!
She was very attentive to my preferences and flexible on the day itself, arriving with plenty of time and navigating the event with grace and calmness. She made everyone feel at ease and most of the time she wasn't spotted doing her work, which produced the most natural and amazing images that you would never be able to stage in advance. The photo quality is superb and she provided a range of colour as well as black and white photos in a web based gallery, ready to be forwarded to the family and guests, many of whom came from overseas. The photos will remind us of this special day and will be treasured forever!

‘Tilly was fantastic on our wedding day. We opted for something a little different to the usual wedding and whisked our closest friends off to London. We were so pleased with how Tilly found the most perfect spots to capture our special moments including a beautiful park and of course capturing some shots on the tube, near Tower Bridge and in front of an iconic red telephone box. Tilly came so well prepared and we immediately felt as though we could just naturally enjoy our day whilst she took care of everything. ‘All parents can attest to the fact that it can be very difficult to get good family photos. Certainly for us, so rarely is a camera pointed in the direction of the three of us together, and even when it is, it is virtually impossible for all of us to look good in one photo. I was keen to rectify this, and to mark my son’s first birthday, I asked Tilly if she could do a family photoshoot for us. We loved the photos she had taken at our wedding, so knew she was the perfect person for what we wanted.
Both my husband and I are nervous models, but Tilly very quickly helped us relax, with her easy going, cheery manner, and enthusiasm for the task. We had a lovely afternoon exploring Ashdown Forest together. Tilly made sure the shoot was a real collaboration; sometimes we took the lead on shots, other times she made suggestions on what might look good. A lot of the pictures weren’t posed, just organic snapshots of us simply being, out on an adventure with our little one. Tilly has a way of capturing little moments and making them seem magical.
We had a wonderful experience shooting with her, and are beyond thrilled with the photos we received.
